What we collect and why

Last updated: November 2026

This page lists what data Small Biz Website Builder Rankings collects, why we collect it, and what we never do with it. We keep it to three sources, and each one is there for a plain reason.

  • Contact form submissions

Your name, email address and message. We use them only to reply to you.

  • Analytics cookies

Aggregate page-view and visit data, so we can see which guides are read and which need updating. It is not used to identify you.

  • Affiliate link clicks

Recorded at link level, so we can see which builder links are used. Those clicks are not tied to who you are.

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data to anyone, and that includes the builders we review. A contact form message stays with us and is used only to reply to you. It is never passed to a builder, a broker or an advertiser.

Affiliate click data never influences rankings. Some links on this site earn Small Biz Website Builder Rankings a commission if you sign up, and we record which links are used so we can see what readers are looking at. Those records do not change a score, a price or a position on the board. The ranking is set by the three tests we apply to every builder, and it stays the same whether a builder pays us or not. Read our About page for how the scoring works, and our affiliate disclosure for how commissions are handled.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and affiliate clicks never move a ranking.

If you want to check how a price or a score was reached before you rely on it, the best website builder for small business ranking shows the year-two cost behind each figure.

Deletion requests and contact

If you want the personal details we hold about you removed, ask us directly. Requests are made through our Contact page, so they reach the same inbox that handles corrections and builder suggestions.
